Joanne Pisciotta Obituary

Joanne D. Pisciotta
May 6, 1941 - Sept. 13, 2015
Resident of San Jose
Joanne passed peacefully with family by her side after a long battle with cancer. She was married to Tony Pisciotta for 46 years before he passed in 2006. Joanne is survived by her two loving children Shan and Chris Pisciotta. She was an amazing grandmother to Erin, Christin, Alicia, Lindsay, Tony, Emily, Mitchell, Miles, Kayla, and Jazmine. She has two great grandsons on the way who will know her by her memory that is kept alive. She was a caring selfless woman who touched many people's lives. Joanne belonged to the East Valley Lions Club and received the Life Time Member Award at the International Lions Eye Foundation. We love you Nana and will miss you deeply. Please join us in celebrating her life and sharing her memory on Wed. 9/16 at her Rosary 6pm-9pm and on Thurs. 9/17 as we lay her to rest at her service at 10:30. Both will be held at Oak Hill.

Chris & Shan, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Your mom was one of kind, always kind to everyone, & she had infectious laugh that would get a person laughing when they had no idea why! I hope you can find some comfort in knowing she is at peace, with your dad. Sending prayers for God to heal your hearts, & big hugs!❤

Oh Mom, I know we already talked a few weeks back, but I want to thank you again for being there for me when my own Mother died all those years ago, I was just a scared young girl.. Without you and Dad in my life I don't know where I'd be today. Thank you for teaching me how to cook and keep a home and being more than a Mother in Law to me. You both took on the role as Mom and Dad and I will be forever grateful for having you in my life. I believe you both were sent to me, a gift from God. Thank you for supporting me even after the divorce, I know that couldn't have been easy. I will love you forever and forever you will be Mom because I just can't call you JoAnne. Rest in Peace and give Dad and my Mom a huge hug. Love always, Dawn

To JoAnne. We will miss you and all the good times we had together with you and Tony. All these years together have been quite a journey Maurice and I will never forget. When I think of you, I think of no other person that was more of a loyal wife, loving Mother, and Grandmother and friend to many, many people around. RIP our dear friend.

To the family of the lady with the beautiful and easy laugh and caring way.--Joanne--
On behalf of my mother Carol and our entire family we extend our most sincere thoughts and wishes at this difficult time of grief. Boy, did Joanne love her family.
I remember coming home from school and Joanne would be visiting Mom, her next door neighbor of many years, and you would be so welcomed by Joanne's warm smile and genuine "hi honey"

Aunt Joanne: I will NEVER forget you! Especially your light hearted humor- With All the pictures we have of you NOT one of them is without you acting goofy Or your ability to draw Laura and I into whispering conversations. Visits to California will never be the same. My last words to you still hold true so again I tell you "Thank You For Being My Aunt"
