Resident of Los Gatos
John Joseph Boitano died peacefully in his sleep Saturday February 22, 2014. He was born in Madera, California and was raised in Los Gatos since 1932.
John is survived by sisters Virginia Cucco and Ernestine Thatcher; daughters Kathy Figueroa and Debra Boitano; grandchildren Shane and Jackie Owens; five great-grandchildren Alexandrea, Andrew, Paige, Rumor, and Ogden; and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation 5-9 pm and vigil 6:30 pm Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Darling Fischer Chapel of The Hills 615 N. Santa Cruz Ave. Los Gatos. Graveside service 10:30 Friday February 28, at Los Gatos Memorial Park, 2255 Los Gatos Almaden Road San Jose, and a memorial reception 12 Noon Friday, February 28, at Los Gatos Commons Club House, 455 Alberto Way, Los Gatos.
In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to Second Harvest Food Bank or to Season Hospice, Campbell.
To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

sadden to hear john passed a very good man . when i was his caretaker he told me many stories about his young days as a butcher i will greatly miss talking to him my he rest in peace

Wanted to send condolences to the family. My husband Phil and I where friends with John and we all worked together at Kirk community center. John would come and cut all the meat for the lunches, we all had so much during those days.

Your ever present smile will be missed by so many people whose lives you touched. I will always cherish so many special memories. I still have to doll you gave me when I was a child and will pass it on to my Grandaughter so she will also have a part of you with her. Love you always Uncle Johnny...give Aunt Betty a hug from me when you see her.

John will be missed by his many friends at Los Gatos Commons. Our thoughts and prayers will be with his family. We are so very sorry we will be out of town and unable to attend any of the services honoring John.
