In my junior year at Peterson High, Mr. Sepulveda was my American History teacher. One assignment we did was become the teacher for the day and teach the class about something in regards to American history.
I was a mediocre student through out high school, but I gave it a try and taught the class about the Great San Francisco Earthquake and Fire.
Mr Sepulveda graded me the only "A" I ever earned on an assignment in school and the only "A" I ever received on a school report card.
I never forgot his academic encouragement nor the "A" he awarded me.
Thank you, Mr Sepulveda
A life well lived. Rest in Peace

I rarely saw eye to eye with Coach Sepulveda because I was an egotistical teen and he was a football genius. Looking back, I realize that he had no ego. He was interested in getting us to win for the sheer joy of winning. He didn´t need the accolades. If you went to one of our games you would have a hard time finding him because he was up in the box getting a birds eye view of the game.
Thank you John. You were a class act.

I just heard the news of Coach Sepulveda´s passing. What a great man he was. I also enjoyed the banter with him while going to Wilcox. Hope you all take comfort knowing what a great person he was. God Bless

My idol as I was one of his Buchser High School athletes. In 1960 I was the first of many to come all league football players that John coached.
His example made me a better man and person as I grew older. I never forgot him and he never forgot me.
