Joseph Bonanno Obituary

Joseph C. Bonanno, Jr. Died Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at his home in Ione at the age of 60 years. He was born June 1, 1945 to Joseph and Felippia (LaBruzzo) Bonanno in Brooklyn, New York. Joseph married Karen Anderson on February 7, 1973 in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. He attended the University of Arizona College of Agriculture majoring in animal husbandry and lettered in rodeo.

Joseph was a well rounded entrepreneur. He owned an art gallery in the Santa Clara Valley. After much success he gave up the city life and moved to Amador County nine years ago to pursue a life more befitting his interests. He loved animals and became a horse rancher.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Karen Bonanno of Ione; brother, Salvatore "Bill" Bonanno and wife, Rosalie of Tucson, Arizona; sister, Catherine R. Genovese of Pleasant Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a mass of Christian burial Monday, November 7 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Jackson. Interment will be in the Garden of Golden Memories at Sunset View Cemetery in Jackson. Memorial contributions may be made to A-PAL, P.O. Box 190, Jackson, CA 95642. Condolences may be offered via e-mail to the family at [email protected]. Arrangements have been entrusted to Daneri Mortuary in Jackson, Ph: 209-223-0793.
