Dear Finch Family,
I'm so blessed to have all of you in my life and I am so sorry about Kellie - she is so deeply missed. Your entire family is the kindest, most loving family that I've ever had the honor of knowing. I've enjoyed every minute spent with every "Finch." You are all so precious to me and I'm so sorry for your pain. God bless and keep you all - I love you!

I was in Girls Scouts with Kellie for several years and have lots of great memories of her. I will always remember our survival badge camping trip when we got dumped in the woods and had to find our way back to camp and sharing a room with Kelley at the Lead the Way conference. Kellie even inspired me to become vegetarian! Kelley was a great inspiration and she will be missed. My condolences as you deal with her loss.

Hi Sue, my condolences. Michelle just let me know, and I am so sorry for your loss. I know this is hard. I empathize. I lost my mother too, not too long after we finished our program. I can honestly say the loss is still painful, but I know she would want me to go on. Your daughter would want that for you too. You are taking the first steps. Missing her will be foremost in your mind for a long time, but before you know it, you will start to feel better. I am hoping you are well, as I extend my sympathies to you and your family for your loss.

How do you say goodbye to someone when you weren't ready for them to go? Kellie - I had been looking forward to seeing you, sitting in my backyard watching my silly dog chase lizards. I knew you would laugh at 145 pounds of dopiness chasing after a little lizard.
Kellie has been a part of my life for many years - I first met her at camp where I was her counselor, then her supervisor and somewhere in there we became friends. From Kellie I learned how easy it is to have a positive impact on someone by just listening, by taking a small walk through the woods, reading a book by the campfire.
I will miss the fun we had, the laughing and the just being. I will remember your smile and cherish our freindship always.

Dear James, Sue, Randall, Tim and Lindsey,
I wish that I had the words to express how much my heart aches for you all and I wish I knew what to say to make you all feel just a little better. I pray you know that Kellie's spirit is with you all and she knows how much you all love and miss her.
Kellie left footprints for the world to follow and memories that will not fade over time. Her spirit touches everyone that was blessed to come in contact with her and she was more than blessed to have had the chance to share her life with those she loved and those who loved her.
May God bless you and may your memories give you comfort and at sometime in the future may the provide you with joy.

Dear Susan, Randall, Lindsey and Tim,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I met Kellie when she was 14. We backpacked together as counselors out of Skylark Ranch with a group of middle school students at Point Reyes. She was so gentle, and kind, and caring. I have thought of her often since I left California. I am sad to realize she is gone.

Lindsey, Tim, Sue and Randy- I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Kellie was such a special person in my life, despite not having been in touch in recent years. She will always hold a piece of my heart. If there is anything I can do, please let me know.
Kellie- Thanks for having been part of my life. I love you always.

Kellie; the kiddies and I miss you dearly. We were so looking forward to your visit, the kids couldn't wait to see you and hoped you would steal us away to the beaches and drive us through the mountains again. I miss the days we used to escape to the ocean, or backpack through the mountains and stop for ice cream down in Santa Cruz, or drive through Danville for no reason listening to your favorite songs. I wish you could have smelled that ocean breeze one last time.
You were the best. What will I do without you? You loved me as I was, with all my weirdness and hyperness and noisiness and even my sadness and heartbreak and troubles, and through all my phases of life, you never failed me. I miss you, miss you, miss you. I’m so sorry you had to go, I’m lost without you. I wish I could have been there for you as much as you were there for me.
God Bless You Sister

I first met Kellie at a one week K9 trailing class where we trained together in October of 2007 in Amador County, California. We crossed paths again at a similar workshop in May of 2008. She was a dedicated handler and worked hard with Sydney but you could also tell her love for Sydney was unbounded. She impressed me as a delightful spirit with a heart of gold. It's a tragic loss but hopefully the good memories will live on with all of us. To her family, friends, and teammates, please accept my deepest sympathy.

Kellie,
I apologize for spoiling Harry Potter's final book ending in Bear Lake. I still swear that Voldemort was one of the good guys =)
Bear Lake---The Pizza, the Cold Wet rain drenched Searchers with a fine mist of wet dog that just rolled in mud, stampeding into your GINORMOUS tent....I will never forget.
Thanks for the phenomenal memories! You are truly one of the most unique and kind-hearted people that I have ever known. Miss you...

Kellie, I will always remember Bear Lake Pizza, a tent full of wet muddy people, and your smile. Big and bright.
Never forget you staying under that tarp freezing at winter camp, tough cookie.
Everyone here misses you.

I wish to send to your family LOVE during this time of grief and healing. I worked with Chowder (Kellie) at Girl Scout Camp and it was a beautiful summer in 95. The time and memories we shared at camp were full of joy, surrounded by nature and friends. This was a time in our life that we all cherished.
I am so sorry for your loss. Kellie is fondly remembered by all who knew her.
I too lost my brother in Aug. 2001. He was just 29 years old. May you find peace and light during these days. We are all here for you, if not in physical presence, in our hearts and intentions.
