Kelly Rahn
May 29, 1965 - Dec. 28, 2015
Resident of Cupertino, CA

Kelly is survived by her mother, Priscilla Parks of San Jose; Husband, Brooke Rahn of Cupertino; Children, Justin Rahn, 25, Jessica Rahn, 21, of San Diego; and Sister, Kathy Bourland of San Jose.
Kelly was born on May 29th, 1965 in Mtn. View, CA to Priscilla & Robert Baird. She graduated from CSU Long Beach. She married her soul mate, Brooke Rahn in 1988. Over the next five years, the couple welcomed two beautiful children. Her children remember her as the selfless and kind mother who instilled them with compassion and self worth. Kelly loved them from the bottom of her soul.

Her and her husband, Brooke, helped their mixed doubles tennis team take home the 2015 2nd Place trophy at the USTA Nationals in Surprise, AZ.
Kelly was loved by all and passed away surrounded by those that love her. The memorial is scheduled for 11am on Saturday, January 2nd at Abundant Life Assembly of God, 10100 N. Stelling Road, Cupertino, CA.

I just found out about Mrs. Rahn's passing today from a teacher at Stevencreek elementary school. My heart was sinking, sadden by the news of her passing. My condolences to her family!
Mrs. Rahn was my son's kindergarten teacher. (We moved the end of that school year.) Mrs. Rahn was of the best teachers We've known. I remember the first time meeting her on the first day of school, her enthusiasm and love for the children showed right at the door step. She greeted each one of them with a biggest smile and warmest hug. On the back to school day my husband and I were in joy knowing that our son got an excellent teacher. My husband came home saying our son was so lucky to have Mrs. Rahn; he said I'm an educator myself. I know she is a very good teacher! My son loved her! It was such a great experience for us all having Mrs. Rahn as the first teacher for our first son in his very first year of school life journey!
We truely miss Mrs. Rahn!

I am so sorry to hear of Kelly's passing. My son just told me; they played baseball at UCSD together one season the year Justin graduated. I didn't know Kelly that well, but admired her spirit and committment as a parent. I have this wonderful memory of her helping me the first time I brought "snack" for the team. I wasn't as organized or experienced our first year on the team, and she jumped in to help me distribute sandwiches, chips and drinks, etc. to 35 baseball players. I so appreciated her help! And it was certainly indicatvie of her spirit and support as a mom and to help others. I wish I would have had the opportunity to know her better but I do know from my brief interaction that she was a kind and wonderful person and parent. I am so sad for your loss and wish you peace and wonderful memories.

I will miss Mrs. Rahn. I was her room mom when my son was in her class. She was amazing and loving. I would get worn out after helping for an hour, and she would just smile and thank me for my time. Thank you Mrs. Rahn, thank you so much for loving my child.

I am so sad that Mrs.Rahn Passed away.
She was the teacher for both my brother and I in Stevens Creek.
She was so kind hearted and loving to all the students. With her warm smile I always felt welcome and comfortable in class. Mrs. Rahn was my first teacher in elementary school and also the coolest and best one. After I went to middle school when I came to Stevens Creek to pick my brother up her classroom would always be the first one I would visit to see her warm smile and also hear the kind words. Mrs. Rahn would always hug me and remember me when I met her. I will always remember her and think about her when I see her door in Stevens Creek. May her soul rest in peace.

I'm sad and shocked when I heard about Mrs. Rahn's passing away. She was my son's kindergarten teacher last year in Stevens Creek Elementary School.

She welcomed every children with warm smile and hugging at door every morning. She answered email quickly every time I have any question about my son. She encouraged my son to speak our own language at home while she would take care of English learning at school. She always said "no worries" to me with confident smile. I heard from my son that she just gave kids calm watch to let them behave, never yelling or threatening. I'm surprised by her charm to children. She seemed loved by every small kids in Room 2 last year.

I can't figure out how to tell my son about her passing away now. She was so warm and gentle to my son.

May her rest in peace! We will miss her.

Brooke and family,
I was shocked and saddened to learn of Kelly's passing. She was a beautiful person in so very many ways. Kelly and I worked together as teenagers and stayed in touch over the years thru mutual friends (Wendy and Susan). My memories of her are mostly of her amazing smile, her kindness, her gentleness. Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I am truly sorry for your loss.
