Kim Mosher Obituary

MOSHER, Kim-- age 21, known to all as ""Kimmie', left this earthly life in the loving arms of her Mother and Father, surrounded by her sister, brothers, godmother, and her service dog O'Hara on December 20, 2002.
She was the cherished daughter of Barbara and Norman Mosher, the beloved sister to Konnie Alger, Paul and Gregory Mosher and Godchild to Anna Antoncelli. Her sister Kristina and grandparents Harry Thomas and Rita and Nelson Mosher preceded her in death. Kimmie was the niece to Ronald Thomas, Jan Hannigan and Nelson Mosher. Beloved aunt to Nicholas and Tyler Alger. Cousin of Angela and Aaron Thomas, Rachel and Jennifer Mosher, Jeffrey Evans and Amy Rodda.
In her brief 21 years, Kimmie was an inspiration to everyone she met. Her courage, determination and strength touched the lives of so many. As a quadriplegic at the age of three, her life was filled with additional challenges yet she had many successes. Using her positive personality, Kimmie was determined to show us all that life can be beautiful no matter what obstacles or challenges she faced.
She accomplished much more in her lifetime than what many people thought she was capable of, and she inspired others to do the same. She was a fighter and the words Giving Up', was never in her vocabulary.
Kim attended special education classes at Santa Teresa High School. She would often be seen traveling around campus in her hot pink wheelchair sporting a smile for her fellow students. She was the life of her school parties with her contagious laughter and sense of humor.
Kimmie was often seen cruising the neighborhood in her stylish attire, wearing her outrageous sunglasses, while flashing a big smile to those she met along the way with her faithful service dog O'Hara. Always grabbing the opportunity to attend a baseball or hockey game with her family. She was herself very competitive as shown by the many medals she won in the ""special games"" at DeAnza College sponsored by the Kiwanis Club.
With her loving heart and baby blue eyes, Kimmie touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. She will live on in the hearts of those she touched forever.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, December 24, 2002 at Oak Hill Funeral Home, 300 Curtner Ave., San Jose, CA 95125. Family and friends are invited to attend a Vigil Service on December 26, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at the Oak Hill Funeral Home Chapel of the Roses. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 27 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Roses.
