Louis Militti Obituary

Louis (Louie) Millio Militti

Resident of Burlingame

Passed away peacefully April 8, 2011, at the age of 76. He was born on September 9, 1934 in Omaha, Nebraska. The family moved to San Francisco in the 1940's. In 1952, he graduated from Balboa High School and went to work as a driver for the Daily News in the Teamster's Union; he continued as a mailer when the paper changed to the News Call Bulletin and then with the San Francisco Examiner and Chronicle when he retired in the 1990's. From 1962-1969 he owned the Squeeze Inn in the Excelsior District of SF.

He was a loving son to his parents, the late Millio, a professional prizefighter, and Ida a devoted mother. He was a dear brother to his loving sister Rosemary Militti. He is also survived by his cousin Sarah Francillo and her family and a host of good friends, who were a constant source of support to him and his sister. Those who knew Louie knew his constant companions, his dogs, the late Brandi and Bandit.

Friends may visit Monday and Tuesday from 3:00pm-9:00pm and are invited to attend the Vigil Service Tuesday 7:30pm at DUGGAN'S SERRA MORTUARY, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 11:00am at Church of the Epiphany, Vienna St. & Amazon Ave., SF. Committal Holy Cross Cemetery. Duggan's Serra Mortuary

I can't believe it has been 13years since he passed. May God rest his soul. This is Jeff Militti, his cousin from Missouri. We didn't know each other personally but I always wanted to.

Dear Rosemary, I wanted to send my deepest sympathies since I've learned of the loss of your brother, and was hoping we could connect. I have some faint memories of your father sharing Easter dinner with us in our home in Omaha when I was a little girl. He was such a fun man when he was with us...that's something a little girl doesn't forget. I wondered if we might be cousins as I remember when I was a little older my brothers, J.J.(Joseph John) Circo and Mark Rosario Circo, speaking of you when we talked about Uncle Millio. I'm not sure if he was really an uncle or if that was just the name we called him. When I was trying to reach you some time back because I saw your name and kind words you said in a letter to one of my brothers, I learned you had a brother and that he had passed away. I am so very sorry for your loss. His picture is so lovely and I would love to be in touch with you, if you'd like. I live in Tulsa, OK and work for the Department of Defense, and can easily be found on the internet, including my phone number. It would be such a pleasure to meet you. Warmest regards, Pam Circo Webb
