I wish I had known him much longer. Through my employment with another company and a short stint working for L. U. 393, it was my pleasure to work with his assistance and warm company that made my stay there comfortable. Loyd was always such a kind, hard-working, loyal gentlemen.

To give himself selflessly to the better of his fellow workers and to protect the health of the nation were what I think of when I think of Loyd. I trusted him and his opinions and looked to him for guidance. I will sorely miss his presence and his influence. To fill his shoes – where do we go? No one I’ve ever known has work so many hours and dedicated himself to what he believed in as he has. Loyd has inspired me to participate in organizations that are dedicated to protecting the health of the nation. The mold was broke when Loyd was made.

God rest your sweet soul, Loyd. I recall the good Union times ... and your dedication to your members. My sympathy goes out to Carolyn and Jonathon on their great loss, but may they know that you are in a far better place; no pain, no sorrow. God takes us one at a time. And in His infinite wisdom, He reunites us one at a time in His Heavenly home. Rest in peace, old friend.
