Manuel was a good friend to my father, Mark Munoz. As he would tell me about Manny when we got together, I always felt that my dad was ok and was amongst good people while he worked each day. Thank you Manny for being such a good friend to my dad.

My deepest respect and heartfelt condolences to the entire Pinon Family on the loss of Manuel.
Manuel and I met and quickly became friends at Monroe Junior High and our friendship continued through our high school years together at Del Mar. I had not seen Manuel for many, many years as our life paths separated shortly after those shared school years. However, I still have so many fond memories of being kids together, goofing and being silly in the numerous classes we shared, especially Wood Shop. Not only was I intimated by being the one girl in class but I also was terrified of all those powerful machines! He encouraged me to hang in there, with his guidance and support (and to my shock) I successfully made it though numerous projects and learned quite a lot along the way. Little did I know at that time that the lessons of patience and encouragement Manuel selflessly tought me would still be exercised well into my adult life. I pulled old photos and all the old yearbooks to reflect back on those wonderful childhood years. He was a great friend who also gifted me with his endless humor and respect. From what I've read in the aforementioned entries, he enjoyed a fulfilling life with a devoted loving family of his own and numerous loyal and loving new friendships that he continued to forge along his path. I could not have expected anything less, because Manuel, even as a kid, was one heck of a great guy and he deserved all the good that life brought to him. May he rest in eternal peace and I pray for God to bestow his grace upon the entire Pinon family, to grant you all peace and strength during this most very difficult time.

With Love to the Pinon family, you are in our thoughts and prayers. Manny was a great co-worker and friend to my husband Robert. The day and the night before he was taken, Manny was texting and calling Robert, as Robert had a bad infection in his leg. Manny was making my husband smile and laugh, I thought to myself, what a great friend, this Manny, I can hardly wait to meet him. Now it will be a while longer until I do. I just wanted you to know that He was a very special Man and will sadly be missed. I will never forget Robert trying to call him that morning? I've know Manuel for about 30 years, and its been about 19 years since I've seen him, was always fun to be around and my fondest memories about him was cruising story and king with him,and how he took so much pride in his car,the bomb. It is so shocking to hear how he was taken from us long before his time, he will be missed by all the burbank boys, and my prayers and condolences go out to his family.One thing we can be sure of we will see him again, that's a promise from our heavenly father.

Words can't express how upsetting it was hearing from Salina about what happened that day. I'm still in shock to be honest, but I won't let it let me forget the good times and laughs I was able to share with you and your family. Salina and I got together the following day and shared some good memories with each other. My heart goes out to the Pinon family. Manuel touched so many peoples hearts. I remember when he showed up in Los Gatos with his blue and white 1954 chevy Bel Air. That was the first time I met Manuel and he helped me so much with my Rivera. I will miss him but never forget him.

Cousin Manuel, this was so unexpected and so wrong. I can't begin to explain the numbness and shock I felt when I heard about what happened and saw your name on the news. This really hit home cause we're the same age and I can't imagine not coming home to my Wife and kids at the end of the day, or not being able to saying I love you one more time. My heart, love and light goes to Melina and her children. The Pinon family were my cousins through marriage and although I haven't seen you guys in some time, you were always in my thoughts and happy memories.
I remember Manuel dancing with me on my wedding day welcoming me into the family, I remember laughing and teasing each other about our football teams over the years, family holidays together, him holding my daughter as a baby and so much more. He was always fun, kind and a family man to the core. I cannot imagine the pain, sorrow and loss. My prayers are with you all.

When our family thinks of the Pinon family we automatically think of sweet childhood memories. Campbell Youth Football! Manuel, Boo, Bombolini, Harvey, my brothers Eddie, Ray and me (the only girl)! Manuel, I could not of asked for a better husband for my sister Melina. As the sole provider, you successfully raised four beautiful children and worked hard to provide them a better life in Newman. You never complained of the long hours or drive in order to provide for your family.
