Marian was born to Bernard and Gertrude Schultz on August 25, 1939 in Park City, Utah. She was raised in Denver, Colorado and was a graduate of South High School. Marian received her bachelor's degree in science from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. In 1961 she married the love of her life, David George Ferrari and moved to San Jose, California to begin their lives together and start a family. For over twenty-five years, Marian worked as a medical technologist at O'Connor Hospital.
Marian is preceded in death by her husband David Ferrari and her sister Patricia Slack. Marian is also survived by her sister-in-law, Christine Ercoli, brother-in-law, William Slack, her niece, nephews and many close friends. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother as family was her core. She loved cooking for Sunday night family dinners as well as celebrations and holidays.
Marian lived life to the fullest even though her health was not perfect. She had a passion for travel, cooking, volunteering, and socializing with family and friends. Marian volunteered many hours with the Junior League of San Jose. She also participated in many activities including a gourmet dinner group, book club, and played bridge and Mah Jong. Doug, Gail, Susan and Jim,

Marian and I have been friends for over 27 years. She is such a special woman who led me through many of life's journeys including one to becoming Catholic. She was a strong woman of faith who became my daughter Megan's godmother. Each one of you brought her so much joy. I feel as if I know you and your children through all the stories she shared. Engagements, weddings, births, home remodels, and all of the kids' activities. Your mom was a gift to all who were fortunate to know her. I am the person I am today because of her. Marian's passing leaves our hearts with a hole that can never be filled but can be mended with our fond memories of her and comfort knowing that she has been reunited with her beloved husband, your father Dave. Thank you for sharing your mom with me and my family. She will be with me daily in my heart and in my memories. Love to you, Barbara Brodsky
