On December 11, 2020, Melvin Michael Glick passed away peacefully in Palm Desert, CA at the age of 82. Mel was the son of Eva and Fred Glick, and brother of Sheila Cutler. He graduated from Senn High School in Chicago and the University of Illinois, before going on to dental school where he met his wife Ellen, whom he married in 1963. Mel is survived by his son Adam and his wife Stacy, his daughter Robin, and her husband Mitch. He was the proud papa of three grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan and Sophie.
Outside of the love for his family, Mel's passion was the practice of dentistry. He built and sustained successful practices in Chicago and California, and in his later years provided dental services to those with disabilities in the Palm Desert community. He was a master tactician with his dental instruments and reveled in creating beautiful smiles for his patients.
Mel was universally loved and respected by all who knew him. He had an endearing spirit and personality, was kind and considerate and had a vibrant social life. He was a patron of the arts and enjoyed playing golf and bridge in his free time.
