It's hard to believe that Mike passed. He was such a friendly, positive, and smart person. I met him probably around 1986. I started a GTE Gov't Systems a few months before he did. And we both started our careers working in the Reliability and Components Departments. Mike suggested I move to the Americana where we became friends. We played table tennis together regularly and had competitive matches. We were good friends and he never had a bad word for anyone. He was so positive. It just shows that cancer can take anyone, if it can take Mike. He was such a proponent of reliability work, and I admired his work in starting a company with his wife, Kim. He had asked me a few times to join him in his work, but I was too busy with my own career. Mike was a great man! And I'm very sorry to hear of his passing.

Sorry to hear the sad news, at such a young age, and heart-felt condolences to his loved ones, his extended family, close friends and colleagues. I enjoyed meeting Mike at seminars and conferences, and was always impressed by his willingness to share his expanding knowledge and promote good design-for-reliability practices. Mike will be missed by many around the world.

This is tremendously shocking; I'd known Mike since he started OALC and considered him to be a extraordinary source of information and expertise, as well as a great guy. Heck, I had coffee with him here in San Francisco within the past year to catch up and discuss business. I can't believe he's gone.

You will be sorely missed by all who had the fortune of knowing you. I wish your family the very best.

I met Mike first time in 1995 while he was working for Centigram and running the reliability lab in Santa Clara. He was a great friend and a mentor. I learn lot from him. I contr4acted his services in quite a few companies because I always knew he was the person I could count on to educate others to understand the fundamental of Reliability. Thru him, I met lot of other experts. I feel so depressed and sad to hear of his passing away and it's hard to believe. He was a great person in heart and good friend. May GOD gives his family strength to pass through this tough time. My deepest condolences for the great loss. You will always be remembered.

I met Mike for the first time around 2010 at one of the IEEE SCV Reliability meetings. Mike ran the meetings very well which made me go back to attend those meetings all the time. We got closer when I took the CRE class at Opslacarte and then he gave me an opportunity to join IEEE-Rel SCV committee. Mike was very passionate person. Very easy to talk to. Knowledgeable. I was amazed to see how he spread wings of Opslacarte to the whole world in such a short time. Loved his trip stories; hiking stories. Since he left IEEE-Rel, we have had a big hole in the society which we were never able to fill and now in life, which we never will. We will miss you Mike. Rest in peace.

Wish God gives his family strength to pass through this tough time. My deepest condolences for the great loss. You will be in our prayers.

Dear Sheila, Bernie, Gary, Debi, Dan, Kim, Shaelyn and Shawn,
May the clarity of light be yours,
may the fluency of the ocean be yours,
may the protection of each other be yours.
And so may a slow
wind work these words
of love around you,
an invisible cloak
to mind your lives.

Mike was an amazing guy with so much energy. I will never forget that we were visiting clients in the same city and we were comparing notes. While I only had energy for four visits in day, Mike hit more than double. I'll never figure out how he did it. I was proud of all the engagements we were able to have with him and his team.
