Milton Lima Obituary

Milton "Bud" Lima Passed away peacefully Sept. 10, 2007. He was a native of San Jose. Born Jan. 18, 1928, to Mary and Salvatore Lima. Survived by his sister, Tina Gagliasso. Brother of Alfred Lima and Marion Amstutz, both deceased. Bud leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in San Jose. At the early age of 14 he took up bicycle racing in Burbank Velodrome, winning races around the bay area. Bud served in the USA Army during the Korean War and was decorated with a Purple Heart. He was known for his beautiful voice and Italian songs. Singing in many of the local nightclubs such as Lou's Village. He was a barber for over 20 years. He worked for many years at Town and Country Village in San Jose. Later years he worked at Moffett Field as a barber and in the commissary where he retired. The last few years he struggled with Parkinson's Disease and resided at Mission Skilled Nursing Home in Santa Clara where he had many friends. The Family wishes to express thanks to his wonderful caregivers Carmen and Maria who made all the difference in his last years. Visitation and Rosary will be held Mon. Sept. 17, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. LIMA FAMILY MORTUARY, 466 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara. Funeral Mass Tues., Sept. 18, 9:30 a.m. St. Clare's Catholic Church, 941 Lexington St., Santa Clara.

Dear Tina...My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I will be writing to Lima Family Mortuary asking them to forward a letter to you. Buddy will always be in my heart until I take my last breath. He was my first "crush." I'm so sorry our families have lost touch.
