Pat North died at home on April 29, 2022 at age 63 when his big heart finally gave out.
An avid bicyclist, he rode across the United States twice, and participated in road bicycle tours such as the grueling Death Ride in California. Pat was a free spirit, often enjoying the solace of long road trips on his motorcycle, riding with the wind and exploring new places. He found camaraderie and true joy in riding and camping with the Airheads Beemer Club.
Throughout his life, Pat made his living with his hands. He ran a concrete cutting service for years, and eventually found satisfaction in helping others directly as handyman "PatFixThat." Wearing his ever-present Giants cap, he had a great sense of humor and had a joke for every occasion. His Irish heritage blessed him with the gift of impish fun and was always ready with an endearing crack or a wonderfully bad pun. He was a kind and caring man, and a doting son, taking care of Mom and her home in her golden years.
Pat is survived by his siblings Kathy North-Wilhelm, Annie Collett, Margy Blomberg, Dave North, Martha Wapenski, Tom North, and Jim North, plus ten nieces and nephews and foster brother Tony Furia. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Lois North, brother Mike North, and nephew Jeremiah Blomberg.
No services are planned. Remembrances of Pat should be spontaneous, kinetic, and never-ending, like the way he lived life. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Heart Association.
