My Dear Uncle Pat:
I will always remember all the great hunting and fishing trips we have made together from bird to deer hunting to the local lakes for trout. I will miss cleaning your hunting firearms and listening to your hunting stories after the hunts. And all the family gatherings, we have had some wonderful and memorable times together. I will always hold them in my heart, and I will always have a BIG smile with tears in my eyes when someone mentions Uncle Pat. I love you and miss you.

I met Pat thru his friendship with Sal and Pat Serio. I'll always remember Pat as a very nice man. Always had a smile on his face. I will also remember how I thought Pat was hip due to the Ostrich Skin Cowboy boots he wore. May you rest in peace.

I remember Uncle Pat helping to get us moved into our house 14 years ago. Both my husband (Keith ) and my dad (John Patellaro) had measured TWICE EACH where the refrigerator was supposed to go. Then, when they tried to push the fridge in, it when "bump!" into the enclosure, but wouldn't fit inside it. Uncle Pat looked at both Keith and my dad and asked "Didn't you measure it first?". Keith said "Yes! I measured the left side!". My dad said "Yes! I also measured the left side!". However neither measured the right side, which is where the fridge hit. Uncle Pat rolled his eyes and said "You're supposed to measure BOTH sides." Then he went out to his truck and got his planer, came in and shaved off the right side of the cabinet enclosure so that the fridge would fit. I still laugh when I think of this because both Keith and my Dad were perfectionists...however they both also assumed that the home builder of our house was a perfectionist, so they didn't think to measure BOTH sides. Uncle Pat was also a perfectionist in his trade, but never made the same assumptions about other builders. And I think that's why he was always prepared with just the right tools whenever he went to help anyone. I will always remember how Uncle Pat was never too busy to help others.

Pat, You will be missed tremendously. I always looked foward to sharing time with you for the crawdad catching and feed. You welcomed me with open arms as did Josephine and the rest of the family. I am blessed to have known you, your kindness and warm spirit was always an inspiration to me. May God welcome you now into his arms, and may his grace be upon the family. My heart aches to know you are no longer of this world but I am grateful that you are in better hands now. My prayers are with the family now and always.

Dear Godfather: I am so sorry to hear of your passing. I feel so fortunate to have spent some time with you at my home after dad's funeral. It gives me some peace to know all you 'buddies' have each other to talk with and laugh again. You are definitely loved and will be missed. Can I ask you a favor? Please give my dad a great big hug from me and tell him I love him and miss him more than words can say. Love, your goddaughter, Grace Marie
