Paul Russo Obituary
July 13, 1956 – June 19, 2016
Resident of San Jose
Paul Russo passed away Sunday after a brave battle with cancer. He was known as "Mr. Fix it" to all who knew him. His soft quiet personality made him a friend to all (human or animal). Paul was born and raised in San Jose. He started his career as a mechanic on the County Buses and was ultimately able to fulfill his passion for trains by working on the Light Rail and Historical Trolleys for 35 years. After retirement, VTA dedicated "Car 2001" to Paul. His meticulous attention to the original details of the trolley, gave the residents and visitors a taste of the true past which he was extremely proud of. Paul is preceded in death by his parents Salvatore and Irene Russo and father-in-law Ernest Bruni. He is survived by his best friend, wife Ana Maria Russo; two loving children Paula Reardon (James) and Anthony Russo; two adorable grandchildren James and (soon to be) Giovanni Reardon. He is also survived by loving siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and co-workers. His willingness to give of himself will be missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Vigil Service Friday, June 24, 2016 at 7:00 P.M. at LIMA-CAMPAGNA-ALAMEDA MISSION CHAPEL, 600 S. Second Street, San Jose, with Visitation beginning at 12:00 P.M. Funeral Mass Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Christopher's Church, 2278 Booksin Avenue, San Jose. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Bellarmine College Prep, Presentation High School, or St. Christopher's Endowment Fund.

So sorry to hear of Paul's passing. He was a sweet friend in our high school days at WG & FFA. He was a very sweet guy. Keeping his family in my prayers for peace & light during these dark days.

As an old classmate of Paul's it saddens me to learn of his passing as it comes all too soon. My heart goes out to all of Paul's family and friends and I can only pray for healing and comfort during what must be this tragic and painful time. Many condolences.
