Paul Van Hook Obituary

Paul Ellsworth Van Hook Passed away July 26, 2004. He was 78. Mr. Van Hook was born Dec. 21, 1925 in Davenport, Fla. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War and World War II. He transferred from the Marine Corps to the Air Force, retiring from the military to Campbell, Calif., in 1963. He worked for Lockheed and Unisys finally retiring in 1989.

Mr. Van Hook was married for 56 years to Thelma Lucille Van Hook, who preceded him in death June 16, 2002. He is also preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Petersen, brother Dick Van Hook and sister Martha Troglin.

He is survived by his daughter, Paulette Carroll and husband Mike of Auburn; son, Fred Van Hook and wife Cathy of Campbell; granddaughter, Kristine Escoto of Oakhurst; grandson, Michael Coman of Auburn; grandson, Daniel Van Hook and wife Amy of San Jose; grandson Paul Van Hook of Campbell; two great-grandsons; sisters, Betty Ware of San Jose, Mary Lou Orth of Ohio; brother, Fred Bailey and wife Kathy of Oregon; brother-in-law, William Harrelson and wife Karen of Florida; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was the patriarch of our family and will be dearly missed.

Services will be held September 17th in Oakdale.
