So sorry for what happened. God bless your family
Marilyn S. Presho
June 8, 2021
I don't know you and I'm sadden that your life ended while you were young and I feel for the loss of your loved ones!! My heart goes out to all his family and friends and anyone impacted by this loss of a brave courageous man. I have to admit tho there is such a beauty in this tragedy that a man sacrificed his life for another human that he didn't know! That's what Jesus did for us that's what we as humans are supposed to do for another! To love life with a tenacity that supercedes our own desires that we are willing to sacrifice ourselves out of love for another. If everyone in the world had the same heart as this man our world would be as it should! I bet the angels rejoice in heaven at the gates that Philip showed the love of our God and I hope that message carries on for years to come a true hero and son of God. I know your in heaven!! - Marilyn Starr, Gilroy CA.

Phillip is an amazing person that I wish with all my heart I could have met. His soul is so special and his spirit is going to be with humanity always. I hope that those of you grieving can take some comfort knowing that he's now an angel forever at G-D'S side. But I'm so sorry he was taken so young.

Working at Nvidia, I only came into contact with Phil a handful of times in my 12+ yrs but right off the bat, you could sense his selflessness and kind heart. He is truly a martyr and should be remembered as one. Late condolences to his family and close friends, some of whom I know. May he rest in paradise now!

Some people have a "lightness of Being" this I mean in an Existential sense. They walk in the place between Heaven & Earth. From that vantage point they realize not to take life too seriously therefore they are free to enjoy their life. This was how I saw Phil. He seem to enjoy every minute. Most of us are too encumbered to have this experience. It was an honor to know him. I will try to be lighter. Enjoy the Day! Every Day!

"My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. This is my command: Love each other."

Movies and fiction that society is engulfed in make it seem like there are heroes everywhere. In truth, people like Mr. Scholz are extremely rare. I'd imagine that whatever capacity he exists in now, that it's one currently being rewarded generously. May your wife and family receive the infinite strength of a universe that bows in response to your selflessness. You will undoubtedly be missed. It's one thing to sign up to defend your country, fight fires, or keep our streets safe. To jump in at a moments notice when traversing your normal day-to-day life and make the ultimate sacrifice, is something completely different. Rest well, Philip Scholz.

Philip, when I think back to my childhood and the family friends we spent time and had fun with, you and your brother are among those who always come to mind. Although we didn't spend much time together in our adult lives, Saul and I were always excited to learn about your year through your annual holiday cards. I was absolutely heartbroken and devastated to learn of your passing. My heart goes out to Emily, Christian, your parents and all of those in your life whom you clearly touched with your amazing spirit. This spirit will live on inside all of us when we think of you, and you will be remembered so fondly. Peace & Love.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Phil's family and friends, who have all lost a truly remarkable person from their lives.I knew Phil from SCU, and I can only echo what has been said many times already. Phil was a cheerful and compassionate person who never had a cynical or cutting thing to say about others. I'll remember fondly the time we had together, and I hope that his loved ones find comfort in each other in the days to come.
