Mrs. Boyer...
Please know that support, strength, and positive thoughts are being sent your way in spirit, from one of many EMS personnel found miles away, who feel your pain...although we've never met, I'm not a stranger to knowing what was described of your wonderful life- and it's absolutely heartbreaking that you are suffering this loss. I know of many same' stories- I know the life of the hardworking, newlywed, law-abiding, family-oriented, college educated, career aspiring, life loving, honorable, unselfish, empathetic, and genuinely caring-giving EMT-P...your pain hits right at home and I'm with you.

For those that know "Ferninad" was (no that is not correct)IS a great guy. Never without a smile, never expecting anything but the best from his fellow man. I cannot understand why he was summoned home. We miss you, we remember you, you are never forgotten. In what ever place you are now i'm sure your smiling, reaching out that hand inviting others into your positivity. Never a more upstanding rightous person I have met. It was an honor to know you and I look forward to seeing you again. Your Friend

While I didn't know you as an adult, I knew and remember you as a kid at St. Theresa. You were friends with my brothers. I wouldn't wish this on anyone, especially one of our own (EMS) who helped others. Thoughts and prayers for those who are left behind - your wife and family. Thanks for the memories.

It would be an understatement to describe Quinn as a kind and caring person. I was lucky enough to work with Quinn on several occasions and witness him in action. He had a gift for caring for others and was an exceptional person. The world will truely be a lesser place without him.

I am so sorry to hear of this senseless act of violence on a young man who had everything going for him. I have known Quinn since he was in 3rd grade. My memories of his dad Roger coaching the kids basketball team at Saint Theresa is still clear in my mind. The days of seeing Roger at the lumber yard and sharing stories of our boys... I am in shock and my heart goes out to the Boyer Family. Stay strong.

I was very saddened to hear about the the untimely passing of Quinn. My husband and I knew Quinn when he attended St. Theresa's elementary school in Oakland and when Quinn's dad, Roger coached the boys' basketball team. Our son, Michael, played on the basketball team with Quinn. Please know that all of Quinn's family and friends are in our prayers today and in the difficult days to follow. My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Quinn Boyer. As a local firefighter, I had the great pleasure of working with Quinn on a fairly regular basis over the last few years. I was always happy to see Quinn and his partner on our calls. He always provided exceptional care to everyone who he contacted, and always greeted everyone with a smile and a great attitude. I was extremely saddened when I heard of this tragedy. He was taken from this world far too soon...and the world was a much better place with him in it.

This breaks my heart. I worked with Quinn at CYO Camp Armstrong. He was always upbeat joking and full of good spirits. The children were naturally drawn to him, wanted to be like him and he was a great role model. Even at a young age he was drawn to helping others. He did so much good in his short life. He made an immeasurable difference incso many young lives and carried that on in his service as a paramedic. You have saved so many I wish we could have saved you. Rest In Peace Quinn
