Richard R. Jimenez, age 71, passed away on August 14th, 2018, in Newman California. He was born July 12th 1947, in San Jose, to Jesus and Esperanza Jimenez. Richard was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served his country from 1967 to 1969 in the First Cavalry Division Infantry of the United States Army. He received a purple heart medal for his bravery in combat. He married Victoria Perez in 1968 and this past June, they celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage.
Richard was a strong patriarch of his growing family. He is survived by his wife Victoria; children; Cynthia (Vince), John, Jacqueline, and Christina (Raul); thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren whom all will continue to love him dearly.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 29th, at 6 pm at the Oakhill Funeral Home, located at 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125. Thursday, August 30th at 10 am there will be a funeral service, followed by a reception.

To the Richard Jimenez Family.
I'm from the same neighborhood, the Jimenez family were raise. I have know Richard, and his sisters and brothers for many years. As they have know mine. I haven't seen Richard for many years, as I seen Billy and Louie at my brother Chuck Valdez funeral pass. My condolences to you all, Phylis Quihuis, Henry's sister.

To the Jimenez family, Richard and I were in the same department at IBM until his retirement a couple of years ago. Richard was an all around good guy. My deepest sympathies go out to you all as you mourn your loss. May God provide you much comfort in this time of sadness.

Rich we had some good times with Jacob & Ramos during our time at IBM. I have known Rich for over 30 years we met at IBM and than we became neighbors in retirement Rich in Newman me in Gustine. The last time we hooked up we had a good talk about our pal Jacob whom should welcome you with open arms. I'm going to miss both of you dudes very much.
