Richard Wilson Obituary

Richard Wilson
Mar. 23, 1949 - Jan. 20, 2018
Campbell
Richard "Rick" Wilson was born in Dayton, Ohio on March 23, 1949 to Garnet and Woodrow Wilson. After serving in the Navy during the Vietnam War, he lived in Galveston, Texas for several years and ultimately settled down in the San Jose area in 1984. He lived happily with his wife Madelyn, enjoying his hobbies of fishing, gardening, and playing guitar. He was also a widely known and respected house painter for over 30 years in the Santa Clara Valley. With a kind heart and skilled hands, he made an impression on everyone he met and every house he painted. He will be deeply missed.
Rick passed away peacefully in his home with his family by his side on the morning of Saturday, January 20, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and siblings Steve and Debbie. He is survived by his three children, Niki, Jesse and Justin, his two step-daughters Kathy and Julie and their children, his sisters, Vivian, Kay, and Tammy, and his loving, dedicated wife Madelyn.

Still missing you! And always will! That smile! That sense of humor! That feeling of always knowing you’re in the presence of an extraordinarily good friend! Love always...

Rick! (Did anyone ever call you Richard? :) Friend extraordinaire! That fabulous sense of humor (which could only come from someone super smart!!!), was only added to your being modest, patient, diligent, kind, considerate, intuitive, hard-working, supremely skilled...Trustworthy: never had to ask how much a painting job would be. You will be so very missed by possibly hundreds of us who were lucky enough to have had you in our lives.
