Dr. Robert E. Kirby

Bob Kirby passed away on 6/24/2022 at the age of 77. He is survived by his wife, Mary, his brother Michael, his sons, Tim and Jeff, and five grandchildren. Bob grew up in Wisconsin, attaining an M.S. and Ph.D. in physics, worked as a postdoctoral fellow in Israel and the U.K., landing at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. He authored over 100 referenced papers and contributed key elements to the linear collider. Given his love of physics, donations may be made to the American Physical Society (www.APS.org) to the PhysTEC Program.
