Resident of Saratoga
Robert Alan Sandie was born in Los Angeles, California on November 17th, 1935. He is preceded in death by his wife of sixty-one years, Doris Mae (Elson) Sandie, parents Ruth (Kirk) and Dr. Joseph Sandie. Robert is survived by his sister Grayce Flanagan of Los Angeles, brother, Joseph Sandie of Oklahoma and three sons, Scott Sandie of Charleston, SC, Robert Sandie Jr. of Danville, CA and Timothy Sandie of San Jose, CA. Robert, known as "Pops" to his family, is survived by his six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He graduated from Santa Monica College and attended Cal Poly San Louis Obispo, majoring in engineering. Robert worked at Lear Aviation, where he met his wife Doris. Later, Robert was employed at Shugart and Seagate. He retired from Seagate in 1997. Known as Bob at the work he loved, Robert made life long friends during his career spanning over forty-two years. Bob was devoted to his wife, children, family, and friends. All are invited to attend a celebration of life for Bob at the Darling Fischer Chapel of the Hills, 615 N. Santa Cruz Avenue, Los Gatos, California on Saturday, July 29th at 11:00 am.
