Mountain View
Our dear Mom, Bobbie Wachsmuth, ascended into spirit surrounded by all God's angels at the age of 81, on Saturday, Dec. 16. It was unexpected, but, gracefully she left us without any suffering. She was with her husband, Bill, of 57 years who, is and will always be the love of her life. Bobbie was born in Billings, MT, and was the youngest of 7. Although she identified as having been, "raised on the ranch," in Bozeman, MT, she also lived in 6 states and attended a dozen schools, while following her father and their thoroughbred racehorses on their State Fair circuit. Her parents, Lloyd and May Badgley both retired to Palo Alto, where her sisters Beth Badgley and Lola Gobin also resided. Bobbie graduated from Menlo Atherton High School, and from San Jose State in Business Administration, and with a no-longer issued, K-14 teaching credential. Her credentials really lied in her gift of ministry and service. She has been an ordained minister for the Universal Church of the Master for over 30 years. It was through UCM, where she developed her spiritual gifts of healing and channeling love. Since the early 1990's, she served on the prayer team at the LAUMC with devotion. Most of all, our Mom was the most loving Mother and Grandmother. She was so very proud of her children and each one of her 4 grandchildren. She would describe her family as her source of joy. Her son, Bill Wachsmuth and wife Ruthann and children Natalie and Buddy, of Crestline, Ca. shared their home at Thanksgiving for many years, where Mom would shower the kids with love and pride. Daughter Sheri Hendriks, and husband, Rob, of San Jose cared for her, and even though she was beginning to become quite confused from progressing Alzheimer's, she was happiest of all going out to dinner with them every week. Luckiest of all, were Sheri's children: Angela and Ryan Handel of San Jose, who spent their whole lives with their Grandma by their side. Their grandparents went to every single softball or soccer game that they could possibly go to, and celebrated all their milestones together. There is such an outpouring of love from so many people who knew and loved our Mom. We were the ones who were blessed. She is our Angel, now, and we know she is happy and with God and continuing her service from above listening to our prayers and guiding our lives with love. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Los Altos United Methodist Church on Fri. Jan. 5th at 1:30 with reception following. All welcome, but, please do not wear black! Mom's orders! Gifts in sent in loving memory to the: Los Altos United Methodist Church,
