Resident of San Jose
Our beloved Son Roland (Rolo) lived his Life by the beat of his own Drum. He struggled through life but he will always be remembered for his great sense of humor, his passion for his music and his love for his Family and Friends.
Rolo was born in Salinas, CA, attended Milpitas High School. He was previously employed by Western Tools; he was a Musician, Artist and basically a "jack of all trades". Wherever he was needed he was there. We will miss his beautiful smile which would light a room when he entered.
Rolo is survived by his loving Mother, Rachel; Step Father Ramon Gonzales; devoted daughter Lynsey and his beloved one year old granddaughter; Emerie, his Sister Monica Hernandez; Nieces, Shasta and Sierra; his Uncle and Aunt Ralph and Josie Gomez and Family. Special thanks to Michael Beard for all of his support during this time of mourning.
The memories Rolo leaves behind for all who loved him will keep him in our hearts Forever Young.
Family and friends are invited to a "Celebration of Life" on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Darling Fischer Campbell Memorial Chapel, 231 E. Campbell Ave, Campbell, CA. Burial to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas, CA 93907, Phone: (831) 449-5890.

Here is a link to the pictures I took at Rolo's Memorial show at the Avalon. Please share this link to any and all people. His presence was there that night and I felt him with me the whole night. I havent been very inspired to take pictures latley but that night I was inspired. The energy and vibe was positive and it was a good time. Its gonna be really weird not seeing him at shows anymore. He was such a fixture in the metal community. I still cant believe hes gone.

Regarding our earlier message and in our haste, we forgot to also thank the Owner of Avalon for donating his business on April 7, 2012 for Rolo's Benefit/Fundraiser. Rolo's family would like to thank everyone who participated with Rolo's Benefit Show. Special thanks to Michael Beard for organizing the event! Your kindness and generosity will always be remembered. Rolo's sister Monica attended and let us know what a great show it was. The $500.00 we received will be used towards his "Marker" at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Dear Rolo, Im still in shock and my heart has been so heavy since hearing the news. I look at pics of us at shows and my heart gets heavier. I will always remember you for all the appreciation you gave me for the interviews, photos, and band promotion that I did. You were one of the very few who actually vocalized your appreciation to me.
