Roy was my best friend in high school. Life had a way of sending us separate ways. I ended up in Seattle and he ended up in Sunnyvale. I was new to California in 1967 when I decided to join the Amateur Radio club at school. After our first meeting, Roy asked me if he could get a ride home. From that time through our high school years we were best buddies. We spent the summer of 68 playing ping ping, swimming and studying for our Amateur Radio licenses. I am so thankful I was able to see Roy again in 2018. We talked about old times and I took him to see my parents. I will miss Roy. He was a year younger than me but I always saw him as a mentor. He was an amazing person. May the Lord be with his family.

Sad to hear this news of a life long colleague. We attended 1-12 grades together and our Dad's worked together at Shell Development Co.

I never had Mr. Rocklin as a teacher, but I had always heard of how great he was at teaching, and more importantly how kind he was. Sad to hear this news, but reading this makes me certain he lived a full and happy life. We will miss you, Mr. Rocklin!

I am sad of Roy's passing. I met him when my children were in high school in FUHSD and he was a school board member. I remember him as a kind and personable man who kept our school district moving in the right direction.

Roy was an erudite and generous man. He helped beta read two of my novels and made many useful suggestions to improve them. I will be always thankful to have been counted among his friends.

I worked with Roy in the R&D department at Dionex Corporation in Sunnyvale. I am forever grateful for the small book on electrochemistry he wrote and time he spent with me for teaching me the basics of electrochemistry as it applies to what we did at Dionex. With my children having attended HS in the same district I came across Lynbrook students that had a lot of kind words about the quality of his teaching.

Dr. Rocklin was the coolest AP Chemistry teacher ever. What an awesome life he lived, we are all so grateful we got to cross paths with him!
