Sekul Spaich

SPAICH, Sekul-- passed away on April 28, 2002 in Indian Wells, CA, 85 years old. He was born June 9, 1916 in Tonopah, Nevada. He had been a resident of Saratoga, CA since age 2. Sekul was a long time rancher in Santa Clara, Sutter, Yuba and Sonoma counties.
The family operates a dried fruit packaging company in Yuba City, CA. He was also an avid golfer and sport enthusiast. He was a member of Independent Order of Odd Fellows, past master of Masonic Lodge of Cupertino #510, past president of the Prune Bargaining Association and served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years Alice Spaich and his cherished daughters Nadine Pflueger and her husband Edward and Kathleen Vincent and her husband Paul. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Jennifer Tatterson, his sister, Millie Kerber, brothers-in-law Jack Panighetti and George Damiano, and sister-in-law Peggy Panighetti. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Milo and Nedjo Spaich and his sister Mary Damiano.

Friends are invited to visit on Friday, May 3, 2002 from 5 - 9 p.m. with a service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at DARLING & FISCHER FAMILY MORTUARIES, CHAPEL OF THE HILLS, 615 N. Santa Cruz Ave., Los Gatos, CA 408-354-7740. A Funeral Service will be held at the chapel on Saturday May 4, 2002 at 12:00 noon. Burial will take place at Los Gatos Memorial Park, San Jose.
