Sophia Ngo Obituary

Sophia Diem-My Ngo Passed away Sunday, November 25, 2007 at the young age of 19. Born March 13, 1988, Sophia grew up in Fremont and attended Mission San Jose High. A graduate from Robertson High, she attended Ohlone College before transferring to UC Irvine in the fall of 2007 to major in business economics. Having a keen interest in marketing and fashion, she planned to obtain an MBA degree and career in the fashion business. Sophia had a passion for sports. She played competitive tennis for the US Tennis Association and the Mission San Jose High Varsity team. An avid soccer player since 8, she played on the Select level for the Fremont Youth Soccer League, the Mission San Jose Junior Varsity team, and the Ohlone College women soccer team as a captain. She was also an active member of the Mission San Jose High track and field team. She was preceded in death by her older brother Victor M. Ngo. She is survived by her father Tai Ngo, mother Hang Nguyen, sister Brigitte Ngo, her grandparents and a large loving extended family. Sophia will always be a loving, bright, and independent young lady who was up for anything fun, and she will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. Her lively spirit will remain, forever, in our hearts. Her laughs will remain, forever, in our ears. Her beautiful face will remain, forever in our eyes. And her love will remain, forever, in our lives. Till we meet again, my granddaughter, my daughter, my sister, my niece, my aunt, my cousin, my student, my team mate, my friend - Sophia Ngo. Memorial Services will be held at Lima Family Milpitas-Fremont Mortuary, 48800 Warm Springs Blvd. (corner of Scott Creek and Warm Springs) Fremont, CA 94539 on Saturday, 12-1-07 viewing 2 p.m. - 9 p.m. Vigil 7 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Sunday 12-2-07 Viewing 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Funeral Services 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
