It has been years since Susan and my paths have crossed and so I was deeply saddened to hear of her passing.
We were friends during our childhood and high school and had tons of fun times, laughter, tears and girlfriend adventures.
My heart goes out to Susan's family, as I am sure this is the darkest hour.
I remember Susan's sister's: Judy and Carol and hope they know how deeply sorry I am for their loss.
May only joyful and loving memories fill your hearts.

My dear dear friend Susan,
I was so glad when we met. Thanks for reaching out to me. We became fast friends as we had so much in common: concern for our children, love for Our Lord, born same year, rasied in same City, enjoyed our homes, flowers, decorating, church, enjoying God's Word, etc., we had many things in common, and dear friends Edna and Linda.
I'll treasure the many hours we spent talking about our greatest love; Our Lord, deliverer, saviour, husband, best friend, our very present help in trouble! He gave us joy, hope, our very breath! Oh to know Him is to love Him. I enjoyed visiting eachother's homes, celebrating holidays and birthdays, praying together, laughing so hard my son thought we were crazy! You were so talented in decorating & gardening!
I'll never forget your words when I was going through tuff times, "It'll be okay". Yes Susan, it will be okay. I cherish our brief moments together and think of you often - and thanks for my cat Christmas.
Susan, I'm so sorry that it turned out the way it did. We miss you very very much. But praise be to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for the hope we have within - that one day, we will all be joined together and meet in our heavenly abode, in His very presence, just as you are right now! We'll be together again. Until then my precious friend, look for us by the pearly gates, we'll be there soon!
A friend forever,
Shirley

Susan Fairbanks was a loving person, compassionate, generous and kind. She got style and good fashion sense.
Susan enjoyed to share with others what brought her joy -- she loved to garden. She gave Shirley and I bulbs to plant and Susan was excited to find out from us what the colors of the phlox flowers would be when spring comes.
The bulbs that she gave 3 yrs ago, (that's how long we came to know Susan) are now blooming with showy phlox flowers of pinkish peach and bright yellow with wine red tinge at its center.
Susan was very talented and creative --she loved to entertain and she took turns to host "sharing time" at her lovely home in Rose Garden area. She knew how to decorate her place whether it was a Rose Garden house or be it a simple abode like an apartment.
She loved animals and I teased her about having a zoo at her place -- birds, cats, fishes, and later on she adopted a big black dog named Charlie.
She always expressed regrets when she missed church and wanted to be part of the choir --she liked to sing and to learn more about the Lord.... she loved God and got a zest for life inspite of her frail body.
I'm thankful to have met Susan.. she was a special person, a good friend, and a precious child of God.
Susan Fairbanks is greatly missed.
