No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. My deepest condolences are with you as you grieve.

My heart goes out to LeeAnn, Cassie, Alex and all the Hosseini family.

Vahid was my husband's nephew.
My husband Ahmad Hosseini, passed away on July 3,2007 and was buried on July 5, 2007.Those are the exact dates 11 months later that Dear Vahid was killed.

Words cannot express the pain I felt when I learned of Vahid's death. It was as if a knife pierced my heart.

11 months earlier, Vahid was there for me thru a painful time, when my husband died of Cancer. Vahid helped me take care of all the arrangements for Ahmad's funeral.

Vhaid was the one eveyone turned to for advice. He was was a good husband, son, brother and uncle.

Vahid is loved and greatly missed by all the family, friends and people in the community. We all grieve his loss.

I have many good, happy memories of the times we all gathered for family get togethers.

My heart and prayers go out to all the family.

Vahid is gone, but will never be forgotten.
Vahid is with God in Heaven, watching over his family and guiding them through difficult times.

I pray the people who caused his death, be brought to justice and pay for their crime.

May God watch over his family and give them peace.

I am one of the fortunate people who had the privilege of meeting Vahid. He truly was an amazing human being, he loved his family beyond himself and he made a real difference in the community. He was color blind and saw everyone as equals. A challenge many seem to have even in 2009.

To my good friend Cassie - your heart may begin to heal, although I'm sure never completely.
LeeAnn, Alex and the rest of the Hosseini Family you are in my prayers.

Bismallahir Rahmanir Raheem

Ina lilahi wa ina ilayhi rajion

We belong to ALLAH(SWT) and to
ALLAH (SWT) we will return.
The Holy Qur'an

I just wanted to offer my condolences to
the family of Vahid Hosseini.
I own a dry cleaning business in
san jose and he came in a few times
to have his clothes dry cleaned.
From what I saw he had a very
humble and kind personality.
I pray that ALLAH (SWT) will grant him
PARADISE !!!!
He was a Muslim just like me.
And he was a good Muslim.
So I will pray that he is in paradise.
In our Holy religion Islam we believe
that if someone dies in the way that
Mr. Hosseini died that person is considered a martyr. So we believe
Mr. Hosseini will go to paradise
Inshallah. May ALLAH (SWT) bless him
and his family. Ameen
Ameen.

To Vahid’s family,
I only knew Vahid for a short period of time. In that short period of time, Vahid made an indelible impression on me. His warmth, sincerity and integrity were quickly evident and much appreciated. I hope that you get some solace from the fact that his legacy continue through you.

To the one I will always love and miss. You were the first kiss and smile I got in the morning and the looks during the day and the warm hugs i got at night. You were to young to leave me. And I know you didn't go willing. But the other half of me is now gone. So wait for me. because I will be hear awhile longer. To see our grand kids grow and to be a grand parent for the both of us. And when im old a grey You can hold me in your arms again Until then I will Miss you and always will love you

Although I am a stranger to Mr. Hosseini and his family, I am deeply moved by the story I read about them. The news caught my eye because I bank at that Bank of the West often and am always on guard with my surroundings. Here was a man who only loved those surroundings. I was amazed he had a liquor license and didn't sell liquor. That right there told me everything I needed to know about him and his beliefs. The world is a sadder place with his loss. My most deepest and sincere condolences to his wife and daughters. You are in my prayers.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

This moment is one of the saddest in my Life. We knew Vahid and his Wife since 1986. W lived close to the willow market and use to go there all the time. He was such a great person he will be missed. He always very giving, when we grew up my mom always struggled and he would always help us out he gave us food when we had no money and just smiled. He made a great impact in our life's. I always thought of him as our role model and he inspired many people. I will continue to pray for his family. You will be missed by many. Thank you for being there for me and my brothers we will always remember you.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

A great man indeed he was. A pillar of Saba, heart of gold, a man of his words, a man of resolve, a man of character, a doer not a talker. He was always polite, but not meek. He was humble but not shy. He will be missed by many.

I am really sorry to his family for your loss, and will keep you in my prayers . I remember when the Willow Market first opened, I must've been in junior high, and I used to stop there on the way home. Vahid was always so nice to me, and everyone else.
