Vivian Malloy Obituary
May 29, 1929 - November 21, 2020
Resident of San Jose
On Saturday, November 21, 2020, Vivian Elizabeth Malloy, loving wife and mother of three children, passed away peacefully and went to be with Jesus in Heaven at age 91.
Vivian was born on May 29, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio to James and Rosella Murdock. She received her nursing degree from Mount St. Joseph's University in 1952 and dedicated her life to nursing for many years including serving with hospice. On August 2, 1952, she married Donald Lee Malloy. Vivian, Don and their three sons moved to San Jose in 1969.
Vivian had a passion for life and her family. She loved learning new things, Bible study, computers, arts and crafts and playing the organ. Her favorite times of year were the holidays, in particular Christmas, when all her family would visit. She was known for her huge heart filled with love of others, her generosity, quick wit, her infectious laugh and smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, James and Jack. She is survived by her husband Donald, her three sons, Donald (Angela), Jeffery (Susan) and Christopher (Pamela), five grandchildren, Dylan, Craig, Daniel, Sean, and Andrew and four great grandchildren.
A memorial service is being planned for a future date. A private burial ceremony will be held at Los Gatos Memorial Park.
