Resident of San Jose
Beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. Chief Special Warfare Boat Operator (SBC) Zach Buob was a Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewman (SWCC) stationed at Naval Special Warfare Advanced Training Command (ATC) in Coronado, Ca. Taken from us too soon; he will be missed but never forgotten. Zach is survived by his mother, father, sister, brother-in-law, niece, and many relatives who loved him very much. Visitation: Tuesday, June 9th, 3:30PM – 9PM, Vigil: 7PM in Chapel of the Oaks, Funeral Mass: 10:30AM, Holy Family Parish, 4848 Pearl Ave., San Jose, CA 95136. Damn. We lost a brother and god gained a warrior. Went through training with Zac, then a deployment to the mid-east with him (MKV-4) nothing but solid. He is an example of why they call our community
1%-ers. Once a brother in arms, always a brother in arms. You'll be missed man, RIP brother.

Our deepest sympathy to the Buob family.
We knew Zach as a member of San Jose Scout Troop 41. He always had a smile on his face, was always willing to lend a hand, and was always ready with a witty comment. He and his parents made our scout troop a better place by their presence.
We are proud to hear that Zach chose a life of service as his career. He will be in our prayers...

Thank you Zack for allowing me to know your family --- your connection to your family and how all of you support each other is BEAUTIFUL. Even though I might not have spent time with you I did spend time with you. Your kind heart allowing your mom and I to use your San Diego house as a conference crash pad saved us money but at the same time I got to know your mom as YOUR mom. She beamed of love and pride each time she says your name. I got to know you by doing your yard work so your mom and dad could have your place looking good for your return from a duty call. The home you developed reflected how you enjoyed your toys, loved your family and friends, and you picked neighbor hoods with warm people building a close community. You instantly connect with others and brought LOTS of smiles. May you make the clouds your race track and your smiles the sunrays as you watch over your family, friends, and I hope all of us can do half as much as you in making sure of our freedom, human unity, and mutual respect for all. With love and hugs rest in peace and abound in joy.

Zach, I was honored to become your good friend on the Antietam. Although we became distant since I left the Navy, I was proud to hear you went SWCC and picked up Chief. You were an amazing friend and a source of constant laughter. I still think of you when I hear certain music (e.g. Soundgarden, Korn...). My wife and I will miss you so much, buddy.
