Phyllis was a devoted mother to Shelley (Don) Nelson, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Steve (Robbie) McGuire, Rancho Cucamonga, California and Brian James McGuire. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren Stephanie, Michael, Lindsay, Steven and Kyle with special love for her great grandchildren Kasual, Ezekiel, Porteur, Hannah, Abigail, Mckenzie, Harper, The Twins: Emeri & Kolson, Kayden and great great granddaughter Lucy.

Phyllis and Jim moved their family to Whittier, California in July 1968 and spent the next 25 years there before moving to Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. They moved back to Hibbing in 2000. She loved watching her programs on TV, reading books and trolling for Northern Pike.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, sister Ardella Erickson, brother Roger Moe and son Brian, and survived by her husband, Jim, of 71 ½ years, her sister Loretta Tupa, brother Ted Moe, her daughter and son with their families and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.

The family thanks Carefree Living in Virginia and St. Mary's Hospice-East Range Team for their compassionate care and support, which helped make Phyllis' final days peaceful and comfortable.

Phyllis was a member of the Hibbing Alliance Church. At her request, there will be no services, but before she passed, she made it known she wanted us all to share a laugh and memories in celebration of her journey home.
