Volunteering with the CCW, she worked at many soup suppers, fish fries, and bazaars. In her younger years, Dolly and Jim had a large group of friends and were very active in their local dance club. She also enjoyed bridge club, sewing club and church circle. Her hobbies included ceramics, knitting and attending almost every sporting event her children and grandchildren were involved in.
Throughout her entire life she was an avid sports fan. Thanks to Dolly, she and Jim found a wonderful cabin on Perch Lake where they spent their summers. An important part of her legacy will continue as her family gathers at "the cabin" each summer. In their retirement years, Dolly and Jim took many fun filled trips. They especially enjoyed traveling with Happy Trails bus tours making many new friends as they visited America's historic sites.
