Robert Beckman Obituary
Robert Eugene Beckman
Robert Eugene Beckman (55) of New Hope, Minn., was born in St. Paul, Minn., on August, 24, 1969, to Linda M. (Seifert) Beckman & Eugene M. Beckman. His family moved to Chisholm in 1973 where he grew up and spent much of his life.
Between Robert's innate cleverness and contagious smile, he really was bright from the moment he was born. From early childhood, Robert learned & held dear many virtues, including caring for family, compassion, a sense of morality, good humor, and the value of working hard. While growing up, Robert spent many hours riding his bike around the Chisholm lake. From the age of 12, he started delivering newspapers with a boom box over one shoulder & papers on the other. In his teen years, Robert would catch fish for his mom to cook for the family. Robert was also involved in many school activities, sports, and church groups. He graduated from Chisholm High School in 1987. Robert worked for two grocery stores before he went on to become a Domino's delivery driver, manager, and then a franchisee. He owned two stores in Iowa but sold them and purchased the franchise in Virginia, Minn., in 2003 so he could raise his family closer to home. When he sold the Virginia franchise in 2013, his family relocated to the Twin Cities so he could pursue other management opportunities. He also loved to help others and showed his kindness in many ways.
Robert met the love of his life, Jodi, in 1991 & they married on May 16, 1998. Robert became a father in 1999 to Brandi & Ashley in 2001, he adored his girls. He met many people, employees, & friends over the years, all of which he deeply cared for, but his family was his greatest joy. Robert was genuinely a kind soul and had the biggest sense of humor. He was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, uncle, boss, and friend.
Robert departed on his journey to eternal peace on February 25, 2025, in Hennepin County, Minn.
He was preceded in death by: paternal grandparents (Robert) Walter & Katherine Beckman; maternal grandparents Lester & Annette Seifert; parents-in-law Guy & Jeri Johnson, aunts and uncles Helen & Gerald (Sr.) Ripley, Lillian & Merle Grossman, Kenneth & Eilene Beckman, Orville Beckman, Herman Beckman, John Drewlow, & Chester Seifert.

To honor and say our final farewell to Robert in his hometown community, we will be hosting a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Iron Trail Motors Event Center, 919 6th Street South, Virginia MN 55792. This will be an informal gathering of friends, family, and acquaintances with an open microphone for anyone who may want to share special memories of Robert, reminisce over photos & memorabilia, and spend time together. Robert owned the Domino's Pizza store in Virginia from 2003-2013. He loved being involved in his Iron Range community, having fun with family and friends, and making people laugh and smile. In tribute to how he lived his life, we will serve Domino's Pizza and refreshments, and the ice and ice bumper boats will be open to attendees from 1-2 p.m. We know Robert would have been the first to try them out! Please join us in honoring his life and memory.
