Ruby Burdick Obituary
Burdick
Ruby Alice (Chandler) Burdick, age 93, of Hibbing, Minn., passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, Minn.
Ruby was born on April 4, 1932, in Park Rapids, Minn., to Frank and Anna Chandler. She married Clarence Burdick early in life and later devoted herself to raising her family in Hibbing.
Ruby worked at the Hibbing Hospital for many years. A woman of Christian faith, Ruby found her greatest joy in her family. She enjoyed simple pleasures: playing cards, coloring, and sharing stories, but what mattered most was being surrounded by people she loved.
Ruby is survived by her loving sister, Carol (Sam) Galatz; sons, Dan Burdick, Randy (Linda) Burdick, and Tom Burdick and fiancee Heather; many grandchildren including Dan Burdick Jr. (Shanda), Andy Wilcox and partner Heather Wallin, Paul (Amanda) Burdick, Warren Burdick, Matt Burdick, Brandon Hill, Spencer Burdick, Whitney Burdick and fiance John Hakala, Kevin (Jesica) Burdick, Stacy Gregg and Michel (Cooper) Jensen. She is also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Jerry and Chuck Burdick; siblings: Lois, Charles, Harold, Vern, George, David and Doris; and daughter-in-law, Vicki (Harmon) Burdick.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Guardian Angels for their wonderful care.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Grace Lutheran Church, 4010 9th Ave. W., Hibbing., with luncheon to follow
