We are thinking of all of you and extending deep and heartfelt sympathy to our dear friends. Norvil and Beverly and their wonderful family were such a great part in our happy lives in Emmett! May happy memories carry you through this sorrowful time.

Norvil was my big brother.Even though he was 19 years older then me,we were bonded by the Elliott "spirit of love and determination".His personality reminded me a lot of our dad. He was loving and kind to me, his dad, my mom, sister and brothers. He always made sure he brought us boxes of fruit to eat. He was kind and thoughtful to everyone. Our dad was never worked in the winter, because he was a carpenter, money was tight. Norvil and Bev always made sure all of us at Christmas, had a present from them under the tree. I appreciated that more than they will ever know. We had many nice dinners together, sometimes at our house and sometimes at theirs, usually on Sundays. He had to make it back before dark so he could milk the cows. He was no stranger to hard work, a value taught by our father. Norvil would bring me over in the summer, so I could ride the Shetland pony and have some fun on the ranch with my nieces and nephews. Every time Norvil and I got together we would tell stories, which usually involved our younger years with our dad (a character), we would laugh as we told them. The last few years we enjoyed working together on our family genealogy. We exchanged a lot of pictures and information. He was pleased that he had found so much about our family. He told me a guy said our family in Scotland were labeled as "sheep robbers"(ha,ha). We got a kick out of that one. Always enjoyed laughing together. We were always on the same Elliott wave length. Last year we had a nice visit and lunch together. He told me then he was having a hard time remembering some things and getting tired. His job here on earth is done and what a blessing he was to his family and so many people. He was ready to be with our savior. I will miss him and will always have a special place in my heart for him, as my big brother. I am sad to see him leave, but I know he is having a joyous reunion with our dad, brother, his mom and our lord and savior Jesus Christ. I will be seeing you soon and we can once again laugh and tell our stories. Love, your little sister, Sharlett Elliott Leonard

Our hearts are saddened by this loss of our dear friend. We arrived at Plaza Ranch 3.5 years ago, and we feel honored to have shared this years of friendship with Norvil and Beverly. Norvil was a kind man and he loved to talk about the farm when his children were small. We will miss him. The Ranch seems awfully lonely without him. May you rest in God's arms.

As far as I can remember Norvil and Beverly have been an active part of my life. They were our home teachers for many of my early years and we would always get a box of oranges for Christmas, or be invited to get fruit from his orchard. I can remember leaning out the car windows driving down his long dirt road driveway and picking apples off the trees. I can recall getting milk from the dairy and I even recall an Easter that I spent on the farm with them and the family. Norvil was always serving others whether it was his neighbor, his church family, his community etc. He was always there with a smile and teasing manner. I will miss his sparkle in his eyes and smile anytime I saw him. I am glad he is not suffering any longer and he has been reunited with his Lord and Savior. Thank you for being a great example to me and all those who knew you. Till we meet again my friend.

For as long as I can remember Norvil and Beverly have been in my life somehow. I can remember hanging out the car windows picking apples off the trees when we would go to see him or go get milk when we were kids. I remember he was our home teacher for years and he always had a joke or was teasing me. Norvil always was serving others and gave unselfishly all his life. I recall the many boxes of oranges he brought every Christmas. He was like a fill in grand parent since my grandparents were far away. I am so grateful for having been blessed so much by Brother Elliott. He truly was a servant of the Lord and he is free from his earthly pains. I was so sad the last time I saw him because he didn't know who I was because of his illness. I hope that sparkle is back in his eyes and smile. Till we meet again my friend.
