Nancy (Buchanan) Bryan, 73, of Metropolis, met her Lord face to face at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023, at Continue Care Hospital at Baptist Health Paducah with her loving family by her side.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at noon on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Metropolis with Dr. Joe Buchanan and Kelly Glass officiating.
Nancy was born on May 9, 1950 in Paducah, the daughter of Robert and Ruth Buchanan. She married the love of her life Robert "Bob" Bryan on Aug. 16, 1969, at the First Baptist Church in Metropolis. She had retired as the office manager of her husband's dental office, was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Metropolis, and was active in the Ladies Golf Association at the Metropolis Country Club.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bob Bryan; daughters, Joy Bryan and Terra Bryan; sister, Patty Clark and husband Vinny; brother, Neal Sellars and wife Kay; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Steinfeld, Jennifer Sammons (Jason), Matt Jones, Jessica Bowman (Josh), Carly Eskridge (Austin), Aaron Clark (Courtney), and Hailey Miles (Kent); several great nieces and great nephews and many friends.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Ruth (Hopkins) Buchanan; sister-in-law, Pat Sellars.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-noon Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Metropolis.
Memorials may be made in Nancy's name to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 307 Massac Creek Road, Metropolis, Illinois 62960.

I was so sorry to learn of Nancy's passing. I was in the class of 1968 with her and we were members of First Baptist, Metropolis, Illinois. Nancy was always beautiful, nice and fun to be around. May the blessings be to family at this time.
