Barbara McNally Obituary

HOPKINTON Barbara Hatch McNally, 69, of Hopkinton, formerly of Sherborn, died peacefully at home Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008. Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Fay Hatch Jr. and Margaret (Millard) Hatch. She was the wife of Paul J. McNally. A former Sherborn resident, she graduated from Newton College of the Sacred Heart. She was an elementary school art teacher in Natick and formerly worked as an elementary school teacher at Cole Elementary School. She was an active volunteer at the Sherborn Public Library and was an avid lover of books. Besides her husband of 37 years, she is survived by one son, Kenneth E. McNally of Hopkinton; one daughter, Karen McNally Beauregard of Hopkinton; one brother, Bruce M. Hatch of Center Conway, N.H.; and one niece, Tamara Hatch Buchanan. Visitation will take place Monday, Nov. 10, from 3 to 7 p.m., at Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton, 57 Hayden Rowe St. Funeral services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Baypath Humane Society, 5 Rafferty Road, Hopkinton, MA 01748 or the American Lung Association, 460 Totten Pond Road, Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451.
