My deepest sympathy on the loss of Barbara

A friend just shared Barbara's obit with me. I loved Barbara. She and I were pool buddies at Crescent Royale. We swam everyday at 2 pm. Our friend Jane baker also joined us. We talked about our families, recipes, and the happening in Siesta Key. When she moved back to MA, we corresponded for awhile. I was sorry to lose touch with her. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren. I enjoy hearing her tell about her life as a nurse, a mother, her life with Walter, and her faith. My sincere condolences to all of the family. May she rest in peace.

My condolences to the children of Barbara. I first met Barb when we moved into the same condo complex in Florida. I remember seeing her swim in the pool at 5 AM and wondered how anyone could have that much energy to do that so early in the morning. I admired her for that. She could also often be seen riding her collapsible bike and she often asked my husband to air up the tires to make sure the bike was perfect. She stuffed envelopes in the office to help the staff and loved to play a card game called Pay Me which cost a whole 65 cents to get in the game. Mostly I remember her though volunteering at the hospital. She was on the same shift I was on and she was always the first one there to go to the supply room to get all the items that the nurses stations needed to care for patients. You had to admire her for all that she did and also her faithfulness to her church,

We have wonderful memories of Barbara. She was always so kind and considerate, and it was especially comforting to know she was in the same neighborhood with our parents (JIm and Mary Marinelli) in Sarasota and that family brought everyone together on many occassions.
Sincerest sympathies to Laurie and her siblings on the loss of their mother, and to all other family members. Our thoughts will be with you throughout this weekend and beyond. Peace be with you all.

Barbara was such a sweet friend. I enjoyed volunteering with her at SMH. When I first joined St. Thomas More Church, she made me feel so welcome. I was a new Catholic and she subscribed to the Magnificat for a year for me. She was just a loving, giving woman.
