Cathy and my Mom were best friends their entire life. We would visit her every Halloween as children and she would come to the Cape every summer. Cathy always arrived with a ray of sunshine surrounding her and was always so much fun. Rest in peace Cath, I love you. Say hi to mom for me.

We met Cathy Haggerty when we moved onto Curve Street many years ago. She was such a presence! A great neighbor, a historian of Framingham and of the Curve Street/Main Street area. She is still thought of and talked about in this neighborhood, and she will be missed.

We join with other family members in mourning the loss of our beloved aunt, who will be remembered for her love of family, strong faith and love of life. As the “family historian”, Aunt Cathy had an amazing recall of names, dates and events and shared wonderful stories of family gatherings as well as growing up in a large family in Framingham. Her love of life was exemplified by her world travels, her knowledge of current events and her extensive readings.
She will be dearly missed but we celebrate her long life with a donation to the Framingham Heart Study.

We always reflect, wondering what ever happened to our Teachers who touched our lives in so many ways. Miss Haggerty was my 4th Grade Teacher at Brook Water Elementary in 1965/66. My fondest classroom memory, was Friday afternoons of either Art or Music appreciation. To this day, I thank her for the artist I can recognize their paintings and for classical music. She was one of my favorite teachers. And reading her past, of which I knew nothing about, it is no wonder she was so special.
