David F. OHara

David F. OHara passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on December 5, 2015, at the age of 76. He leaves his wife of 48 years, Kathryn (De Stefano) OHara; his two daughters, Karen Bunton and her long-time companion, Scott Thompson of Shrewsbury; Erin Page and her husband Tadd of Northborough; his son, David J. DJ OHara and his wife Allison of Westborough; He was lovingly known as Pops to his grandchildren, Taylor, Ashley and Kendall of Northborough; Ryan, Sean and Emma of Shrewsbury; Mia and Jack of Westborough. Born and raised in Worcester, he was the son of the late George and Alice (Rittburg) OHara. Cherished nephew of the late Alice (OHara) and Alfred Lawlor. He graduated from St. Johns High School in 1957. David retired as parts manager from Colony Truck Center, Warwick, RI in 2006. His long career in this field included positions at Rodman Truck Center and Harr Ford. David was the recipient of numerous national awards and considered to be one of the most awarded in his profession. He enjoyed summers on Cape Cod, his pre- dawn North borough Dunkin Donuts cof fee group, and attending New England Patriots games. Pops most enjoyed his time attending his grandchildrens sports activities. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Calling hours will be held Friday, December 11, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northborough. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 12th at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, 244 West Main St., Northborough. Burial with military honors will follow in Howard St. Cemetery, Northborough. Please Omit Flowers.
