Hugh Cronin Obituary

Hugh Cronin, of Vershire, Vermont (formerly Marlboro, MA), passed away on March 7th, at home, with loved ones. He was 83 years old. Mr. Cronin was born in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late Hubert James Sr. and Helen Benoit Cronin. He was a veteran, with service in the Army and the Army Air Corps at the end of World War II. He was a self taught man and a Jack of All Trades. Hugh was predeceased by his wife Christine Sullivan, his parents and his identical twin brothers Paul and Lawrence. Also preceding him in death were his ex-wife Katherine Ringer Cronin, a baby brother Francis, and an infant granddaughter Kimberly. He is survived by his children Deirdre E. Gleason (Robert), of Bradford, VT and Jonathan T. Cronin (Theresa), of Lexington, MA and their mother, his first wife C. Tanner Cronin. Also two much loved stepdaughters, Katherine T. Gumben (Michael) of Anna, Texas and Karyn S. Ringer of Milton, NH. He also leaves nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Contributions in his memory may be sent to Wells River Savings Bank, Wells River, VT and will be divided between Tsunami relief and two of Dads favorite scholarships . A special Memory Gathering will be held on May 28 at 1:00 at The West Fairlee Village Church on Vermont Route 113. The church is eight miles west of I-91, exit 14 (Thetford).
