I was a friend of Jack's back in the 60s. We went to grade school together. Jack, myself and others were Scouts together in Sudbury Mass. We went camping, road our bikes around Sudbury and hung out in trees while listening to our am transistor radio introduce the Beatles. Many times we would meet down at Kelly's Drugstore to share a frappe. Back then he was quiet kid with a wide happy, McGuire grin. My mother was Irish. It made her feel good to have Jack hanging around our house. His demeanor and smile reminded her of Ireland. I was in Framingham 3 years ago. Had I known I would have made a point to visit. Fair wether and fair riding Jack.

Only knew Jack just a little bit as a kid. The only thing separating the McGuire kids from the Scott kids was a strip of blackberry bushes. I remember a giant pit on their property. Everyone would ice skate there in the winter but in the summer Jack and Micheal would hot rod around in the pit with their project cars. Us younger kids would catch a ride sometimes. I remember Jack letting sit up in the drivers seat with him and let me steer his car. It was great fun and a fond memory.
