Jeanne M. Ward

Jeanne M. (Glavin) Ward, 81, of Uxbridge passed away at Milford Hospital on Friday, Dec. 6, after an illness. She is survived by her loving husband on 56 years, John J. Ward; 3 daughters; Denise Zacchilli and her husband Peter of Marlboro, Debbie Ward and her wife Robyn of Medford, and Kathleen Whittaker and her husband John of Uxbridge; 1 son John Jack Ward and his wife Doreen of Hudson; and her grandchildren, Ashley, Melissa, Matthew, Daniel and Catherine; and her great-grandson Anthony, many nieces and nephews; 2 sisters, Eleanor Philben of Natick and Gail Glavin of West Roxbury and sister-in-law Mariwood Ward. Born in Boston, MA on May 31, 1932 she was the daughter of Richard and Frances (Lynch) Glavin and grew up in West Roxbury before retiring in Vinalhaven, ME for 13 years, then moved to Uxbridge 10 years ago. She was educated in the Boston Catholic school system and worked for B.F. Goodrich in Marlboro in the Human Resource Dept. until her retirement. Jeanne enjoyed reading, knitting, and sewing. She also enjoyed scrabble, cribbage, crosswords, and especially playing games with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Good Shepherd Church. Her funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Dec. 9, from Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in St. Marys Church, 71 Mendon St., Uxbridge. Burial will be private.
