Joseph McGrath Obituary

Joseph M. McGrath NATICK Joseph M. McGrath died Thursday November 12, 2009 at St. Patricks Manor in Framingham at the age of 89. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen (Daly) McGrath; the dear father of James McGrath of Holliston, Mary Garry of Upton and he late Joseph McGrath Jr.; the devoted brother of William McGrath of Simsbury Ct., and the late Catherine Hallinan, James McGrath, Mary McGrath and Margaret Reavey. Also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Joseph C. and Anne L. McGrath of Holliston. A resident of Natick since 1950, he was born in Woods Hole, latter moving to Dorchester section of Boston, a son of the late James and Annie (Broderick) McGrath. A graduate of the former Lowell Institute School, Mr. McGrath was an engineer for many years with United Engineers & Constructors of Philadelphia. A veteran of WW II, he served with the U.S. Army from 1943 until his honorable discharge in April of 1946. The funeral will take place from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home (www.everettfuneral.com) 4 Park St., at Natick Common, Monday Nov. 16 at 9:15, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patricks Church Natick at 10AM. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery in Holliston. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Sunday Nov. 15 from 3 to 7PM. Expressions of sympathy may be made in his name to St. Patricks Manor 863 Central St. Framingham Ma. 01701
