Joshua R. Sousa

Joshua Reis Sousa, 24, of Hudson, died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 26th at his home. He leaves his loving parents, Albert R. Sousa and Melissa C. Paulino, both of Hudson. Joshua was born and raised in Hudson where he attended local schools and was a graduate of Hudson High School in 2010. He worked as a Field Engineer for Geotechnical Consultants, Inc. of Marlborough for the past 4 years. Joshua had a humorous and warm hearted personality that was enjoyed by all who knew him. He will always be cherished as a loving son, loyal friend and his ability to light up a room with just his presence. Joshua's life was left short from a heart condition but he never let that ailment interrupt his joy for life. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving sister, Jessica Zompetti of Hudson; his maternal grandparents, Lucilio and Deolinda Paulino of Hudson; his paternal grandfather Antonio C. Sousa of Hudson and was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Yvonne I. Sousa. He is also survived by his uncles Tony Sousa of Hudson, Paul Sousa of Cape Cod, David Sousa of Fitchburg, Steven Sousa of Florida, Carlos Sousa of Rhode Island, Carey Paulino of Hubbardston; his cousin Paul Sousa Jr. whom Joshua loved as a big brother, Pauls wife Tiffany and their children Jordan and Aubrey who were very special in Joshua's life. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 2nd at 9:00 a.m. in St. Michaels Church in Hudson. Burial services will be held privately at a later date.
