Kevin C. Ripley

1949 - 2016

Kevin Charles Ripley, 67 of Marlborough died peacefully on December 4, 2016 after a month long illness. He leaves behind his loving wife of 39 years, Lynne D. (Gullage) Ripley and two daughters: Kellie and her husband Joseph R. Senske of Hudson and Kate E. Ripley of Wisconsin. He leaves four grandchildren: Joseph R. Senske, Jr. and Dominic E. Senske of Hudson; Jonathan M Brawner and Kayla M Brawner of Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles J. Ripley who passed away in January 2016 and is survived by his mother Jean M. (Auger) Ripley of Marlborough; his sisters, Joanne M. and her husband Donald L. Richer of Berlin, Susan J. and her husband Brian Cass, Karen A. Bodkin and his brother Charles "Chuck" Ripley, Jr. and his wife Gayle, all of Marlborough their families and many nieces and nephews. Kevin was born at Hudson Hospital in 1949, graduated from Marlborough High School in 1967, served in the United States Army from 1969 and honorably discharged in 1971. Kevin was Massachusetts Licensed Motor Vehicle Damage Appraiser. He owned Henna Color Auto Body in Clinton, worked for Framingham Ford for many years and retired from Foreign Motors West in 2014.Kevin had a lifelong passion for cars, which included driving, fixing and restoring them from his "Big Bad Yellow Chevy" in the 1960's to his famous 1966 fully restored Shelby Mustang CT350 which won first place in numerous car shows. He was a member of NDRM Car Club, he enjoyed riding his Harleys, driving his El Camino and his many restored cars to the car meets and shows. He truly loved his family and very much enjoyed time spent with them from golf games with his father Charlie, his brother Chuck and his son-in-law Joe, especially watching his Grandsons JJ and Dom play football and visits to Massachusetts from his daughter Kate and Grandson Jonathan and Granddaughter Kayla. Kevin was a wonderful husband, father, brother, son, grandfather (aka Granky), and friend and will be sadly missed by all. His funeral will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect Street, Marlborough, Ma 01752 Cremation will follow with burial at Bourne Veterans National Cemetery at a later date. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 5:00- 7:00 PM at the John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main Street, Marlborough. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hudson Youth Football in memory of Kevin C. Ripley, P.O. Box 643, Hudson, Ma 01749 which will fund tuition for less fortunate children who want to play football.
