Lorraine Cormier Obituary

LAKE WORTH, Fla. Mrs. Lorraine M. (Gastonguay) Cormier of Lake Worth, Fla., died Sunday, April 20, 2008, at her home. She was 79. Born in Beverly, a daughter of the late Hector F. and Anna M. (Richard) Gastonguay, Lorraine was raised in Waltham and was a graduate of Waltham High School. She lived for most of her life in Natick before moving to Lake Worth 10 years ago. Until her retirement she worked as a secretary for Transport Insurance Company. Lorraine was an avid card player and was a member of the Bicycle Club in Lake Worth. Lorraine leaves her husband of 60 years, Lionel C. Cormier; her children, Kenneth P. Cormier of North Port, Fla., Carol A. Belisle of Raynham, Larry Cormier of North Carolina, Jane M. Daley of Ashland and Judy E. Lazaros of Lunenburg; her sisters, Jeanne M. Delaney of Waltham, Louise M. Griffith of Parrish, Fla., and Claire M. Taber of Colorado Springs, Colo.; her brother, Richard J. Gastonguay of Watertown; 8 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral at 9:30 a.m., on Friday, April 25, from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main St. (Rte. 20), Waltham, followed by a funeral Mass at Saint Jude Church, 147 Main St., Waltham, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Thursday, April 24, from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Vitas Hospice, 1901 South Congress Avenue, Boynton Beach, FL 33426.
